  • You can backup your contact, mail accounts, and even your pictures.

  • Start screen.
  • Choose Settings.

  • Scroll down.
  • Choose iCloud.

  • Under Apple ID and Password, enter the required information, and go to the next step.
  • To create a new Apple ID, choose Get a Free Apple ID, and go to the next step.

  • Your account is verified.

  • If this screen appears, choose an option. In this case, choose Merge.
  • If this screen does not appear, go to the next step.

  • If this screen appears, choose an option. In this case, choose OK.
  • If this screen does not appear, go to the next step.

  • Your Apple iPhone 4S is now configured for iCloud.
  • Choose applications, and tick these to synchronise with iCloud.

  • Scroll down.
  • Choose Storage & Backup.

  • Optional: Enable iCloud Backup.
  • Return to the Start screen.
